Religious Education

Mission - These volunteer ministers strive to deepen and expand knowledge of our Catholic faith for our elementary, middle school students, and Confirmation candidates. They provide preparation for the sacraments of Marriage and Baptism; the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, and on-going education for the parish community at-large.


Elementary, Grades 1-5- Our teachers provide foundational teaching and guidance in the Catholic faith including sacramental preparation for Reconciliation and First Eucharist in grade two. Students assemble in the parish center for religious education on Monday nights from 6-7:00 pm. The school year runs from Sept. through to April. Refer to the Church Calendar for the class schedule. Middle School, grades 6-8 make up our 3-year Confirmation program beginning in the sixth grade and concluding with Confirmation in the eighth grade. The school year runs from September through to April and classes take place in the parish center for grades 6 & 7, and in the lower rectory for grade 8. Refer to the church calendar for class schedule and times. Adult education

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)


Adults who are seeking to become Catholics, and believing adults within the Roman Catholic Church,

are led by on a journey to the font of baptism and confirmation, ending in full initiation into the Catholic Faith.

Classes generally begin in September.

Adult Education


Throughout the year, opportunities for ongoing development of faith within the parish community take place through retreats, workshops, bulletin inserts, conferences, seminars and visiting speakers. Educational opportunities are also provided for those couples preparing for the sacrament of Marriage through Marriage Preparation programs and reflective tools. Finally, baptism preparation is provided for those parents presenting their children for this sacrament.


All aspects of this ministry welcome individuals who wish to share their faith and life experience as catechists, teachers, group leaders, monitors, sponsors, presenters, aides and assistants. Volunteers are welcome!
